... thinking about my past and interpunctation is thinking about my grandfather (arcadio ruiz franco), who was a trade leader of typograph workers in the 1940s in guatemala, in the first democratic and social revolution after 2nd world war in latinamerica. he wrote a book (hambre y miseria. fermentos de lucha), nearly oral history, about the day to day struggle of the workers in this political change. a very nice old book. after then years a coup d'état (with the colaboration of the cia/usa) finished this democratic and social spring in guatemala (1944-1954). i think it can be interesant to work with his book, to make a poster about or another kind of work.

They do not remember the first time they met bolwerK as they lead a cursive lifestyle, and to examine this temporal ellipse will raid their own audio archives to create 'Tie A Knot In A Faded Rag (Parts 1-3), a collaborative three-part radio play.
Delving into the dog-eared audio journals of trainee psychiatrist Wielo Kropek, whose practice specifically deals with disaster, trauma and lacunar amnesia. The use of the pseudonym Wielo Kropek (Polish phrase for the ellipsis) brings the subject closer to the form.
The commander could not decide whether he should keep a diary to record the course of his life. What if, by chance someone were to read it? - Alexander Sukorov, Confession (1998)
I've spend some time bringing together artists in a production and presentation model. The relationship between time and space was prior, mirrored in the nomadic and temporary existence of the initiative and the practice of the site-specific artwork. Functioning as a non-hierarchical structure, collaboration and dialogue were the main instruments applied in achieving an artistic enriching environment.
My involvement in Interpunctie is the result of various encounters on a professional base with bolwerK over the last five years. I've been proposed to co-think, observe, (re)direct, edit, (re)write, ...

I am interested in the simultaneity of different concepts of the „archive“ in the cultural field. With my archival background I would like to contribute to the definition and interpretation of terms and concepts related to self-archiving.
Lucie Kolb (*1985) writes her PhD about paratexts in the art field at the Institute for Art Theory and Cultural Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Within her artistic and curatorial practice she co-organizes different working formats such as lecture series, radio shows, archive tours and exhibitions. From time to time she also exhibits. Lucie Kolb lives and works in Zurich and Lucerne, Switzerland.
I'm interested in archiving (and self-archiving) as "bureaucratic" practice. My point of departure is the folder "The Ever Mass Land" on my external hard drive. Due to a possibly mechanical problem the data in this folder is visible but not accessible anymore. What is left, is the title and the metadata. What do we do with these lonely paratexts?

Instead of a traditional layout work, we'd like to focus on tools development, bases of an archives blender, small chain of automatic process.''

NG continues a nomadic artistic project which brings her from residence to residence, experimenting with modes of collective habitats as well as architectural prototypes, and testing all kinds of spaces, lifestyles, situations. To be an artist is an adventure, art is speech. NG draws, from her readings on botanical research in Amazonia the conclusion that the world is unknown, that all is to be discovered, to be explored. Each project - soundtrack, video, drawing, data base, performance - is a personal expedition, to meet people, places, specific contexts, new tools. During her latest research, which have pushed her to meet Yona Freedman, NG questions our modes of living. Her auto-fictions show (video, photo, drawing) or tell about (text, blog, soundtrack, performance) the artist seeking her place in utopian architecture, projecting herself in another space-time: from the Bubble House of Antti Lovag in Nice to the VDS House of Neutra or the Freeman House of Frank Lloyd Wright in Los Angeles.
''I propose a discussion around questions we have in common ---"mirror" as you said my own exploration about utopia (through the exploration of architecture ideas and way of life--) also the question of exhibition in relation with research process-- I will show some visuals about my work too''

When Marthe participated in "With With: Everything but an Artist Talk" she made a performance take place at Shedhalle Zürichinvolving all the audience. She prepared a lot of objects, some everyday objects, others she actually produced for that evening. One of the objects, curved out of wood, I kept. I still have it and will bring it with me to Kasterlee. I would like to find out more about the object by talking about it to the people present at Frans Masereel Center. I will cut this talk into a small "sound-object", which could be broadcaste. Out of the object-descriptions I will take some lines and make a printed sheet with some words and maybe again involving the object itselfes.
