Anna Szwajgier was born in Krakow in 1979. She studied theory of music at the Academy of Music in Krakow . At this time her main interests covered two fields: the musicological research focused on musical and visual co-existence and multimedia composition. With the theoretical studies it was possible to use the knowledge and experience of professor Adam Walaciński - a composer, critic and member of the vanguard group Grupa Krakowska. This led to the choice of the subject-matter of the master's thesis - "The activity of Muzyka Centrum Art Society in relation to major currents of music of the 2nd part of the 20th century and changing forms of its presentation" (2004). Muzyka Centrum is one of the most important artistic societies in Poland, preforming a vast selection of contemporary music, an organizer of the Audio Art Festival (since 1993) and Ensemble Spiel and Bridges - projects based on a co-operation with other artistic groups from Europe.

Szwajgier studied electronic music composition under Marek Choloniewski at the Electronic Music Studio (Academy of Music) and attended the courses of computer animation under Grzegorz Biliński, at The Fine Arts Academy.

She is an author of music to the short animated films:

Żółtodzióbstwo - music made together with Kerry L. Kenny to a 3D animation by Przemek Świda (2002)

Zmienność, Nierozpoznane, Pągowska, Niezwyczajne, Karpowicz, Sensacje barwne - multimedia intros for painting exhibitions by Grzegorz and Alicja Biliński (2003-2004)

Kotlet - music to a video by Anna Maria Karczmarska (2005)

and music settings such as:

Choroba morska - sound background for an installation during the Festival of Witold Gombrowicz at KochanowskiTheatre in Radom (2002)
