Hi Daddy Im going to the WSF...
video 22min, 2003
with: Janina, Mariusz, Róża, Zuzanna Wollny, Barbara i Zbigniew Jaskowski.

'Pieces Czesc Tato (Hi Daddy) and Ciocie (Aunts) are part of a cycle of work that provide keen and sharp observations on familiy life in Cracow in the beginning of the 21th century.'

Hi daddy... was intentionally prepared for The World Social Forum and it shows what is the approach of a typical polish family to the matters appearing during the Forum. Parents, sisters, garndparents of the artist discuss the basic questions and political and social attitudes during the sunday dinner.
The film was presented as a part of The workshop of thinking (Mumbai 2004),during the conferention Geography of Changes (Kunstmuseum Bern, 2004), at the opening of 'Edward Said Program ' (2004), at the exhibition 'Nowa Huta - Kunst aus polnischer Sicht' (Kunstwerein, Muenster 2004), and on the presentation of fundacja 36,6 'Roaming' (Quebec 2005) and 'The Models for a Fictional Academy' (Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Budapest 2006)

Aunts (video 13min) are also a recording of a conversation by the table - ladies are talking about trivial matters. Only when we look and listen more carefully we ar able to notice that it is not two but three individuals leading this discussion. The aunts sitting by the table turn to tv set placed above, where on the screen appears the third person, also eating a dinner. The film is a warm commentary to loneliness and the aunts engagement to the lives of tv series characters.

with Helena and Maria Tylek

Aunts was shown on the exhibition 'Domowa atmosfera' (Kraków 2004), 'Eastern Lights' (Motorenhalle, Drezno 2004) 'Roaming' (Quebec 2005), 'In Loco' (Florence 2007).
