By exercises of collective disembodiement and hands on DIY tech practices, we activate a former Tranformer Building and cage of Faraday - TRAFO - as a temporary open lab to expose "radio waves" as a critical natural resource exploited by patriarchal and neoliberal technologies
with ON3MCR, Isabelle Burr Raty, Sunjoolee,...
In a worksession 'Alternating currents' we will activate rectenna's, a special type of receiving antenna that is used for converting electromagnetic energy into direct current electricity. We interweave drawings with electronic schematics and use cupper etching techniques to develop rectenna's. We study and experience their wave lengths, resonances and physical properties. By sonic explorations we demystify wireless power transmission systems and transceive energies as collective interspecies power sources.
In a worksession with 'Towards energy restoring' we will activate artifacts designed with materials, such as bamboo, copper and wool, to discharge excess electromagnetism and practice specific vibrational body techniques that are based in ancient esoteric traditions. Allowing in this way primordial force to swirl through our bodies with pleasure and increase the bio-electrical levels of the body. Through this process we will look into what bio-electricity is and what it does to matter, rendering particles and molecular entanglements between bodies visible. https://www.isabel-burr-raty.com/
In a worksession we will activate the Manual for Gardening Electricity of Sunjolee which uncovers the electrochemical processes of anaerobic bacteria living in wet soil, Microbial Fuel Cells : in this power system, mostly composed of biodegradable materials, we embraces natural uncertainties instead of technological exploitation, exploring the potential of cyclical electronic systems, as entities requiring care. https://www.sunjoolee.com/Electric-Garden
