Rectenna

The rectenna is a special type of receiving antenna that is used for converting electromagnetic energy into DC (direct current) electricity. Antennas' propagate their waves, in relation with how much electricity/power is sent in a conductive metal in the atmosphere. Sender and receiver have to be in line of sight to communicate.
Instead of harvesting and extracting this wireless power transmissions, the rectenna questions power infrastructures and how to intra-act with all these forces and energies.

The antenna array consists of diverse antenna's patched together to a printed circuit board (pcb) which is developped with diy cupper etching techniques. Fromm 443MHZ, 88-108MHZ, VHF, 868 MhZ The antenna array is connected to the [rectenna] to tranduce the electromagnetic frequencies into electric signal.

Pineal

An XY-plotter AxiDraw was programmed to print on stone paper, an alternative to tree-based paper, a representation of a pineal gland. It's location in the brain is drawn with bio ink, sourced out of the herbal garden in AGALAB, Amsterdam. The ink fades away by the UV light of the sun. In meanwhile our pineal gland is also light sensitive and multi neuronal ; constant exposure to high frequencies ( e.g. LED, LCD's) have an effect on it's size, performance and well being.

How to Use the D-Mats and Bamboo sticks?
1. Take the bamboo stick and gently tap the sole of each of your feet, to massage and open the nerve endings located in this part of the body, for about 3 to 5 mins. in total.
2. Put your alarm for 20 mins. (if you have more time, 30 mins. is also recommended).
3. Lie down on the mat, cover your body with the available blanket so that you are warm.

The Mummies
2024 - Recycled wool and mesh fabric + face masks + ear plugs
In certain cultures mummy means mother, while mummy also refers to a body of a human being or animal that has been ceremonially preserved after death by being wrapped in bandages. These wearable sculptures are made from recycled wool donated by Belgian farmers. Because wool is not being sold, as it being replaced by synthetic wool, farmers burn it at the end of the sheep shearing season. The Mummies are designed to wrap bodies that feel too open, absorb too much and are in need of being contained, mothered, mattered.

These photographs are Susana's captions of the full moon, taken with her mobile phone from the land that she is reclaiming and occupying. This land is located at the intersection point of 8 ancient tribal territories, where there is abundant mana, a Polynesian archaic force that binds every-thing together on metaphysical levels. She refers to the textures of these photos as cosmic codes and is eager to decipher the phenomena she portraits from astrophysics perspectives.

PAN PAN PAN a durational program to develop and implement a public performative interface for translocal radio telecommunication. While setting up securely an autonomous infrastructure and hardware, we empower ourselves by collective disembodiement, common voicing, and practices to commonize and decolonize our technologies.
The Spine is a transdisciplinary artistic research project exploring how one might become a collective earth body. Stretching across diverse territories, it cultivates relations between communities engaged in land restoration and restitution. It appears as a (re)generative geoglyph—a living path shaped with hollows in the ground where we can nest, sensing the earth as an affective being and a medicinal tapestry to which we are interwoven. Within the spine’s curves, communal visions merge with the land’s memories, giving rise to counter-systemic artifacts that open silenced stories into the future.
